Este Desafío de Lectura de Muir es un proyecto educacional que hace que los estudiantes se interesen en leer durante el verano. También contribuye al orgullo de la escuela ya que el trabajo duro de los estudiantes tiene como resultado materiales adicionales y oportunidades académicas para los estudiantes. Nuestra expectativa, sin importar la participación en este desafío, es que todos los estudiantes lean 150 minutos a la semana este verano y que entreguen su diario de lectura en septiembre.

Muir Reading Challenge

The Muir Reading Challenge is  an educational project that engages the students in reading throughout the summer. It also contributes to school pride as the students’ hard work results in additional learning materials and academic opportunities for students.  Our expectation regardless of participating in the fundraiser is that all students read 150 minutes a week this summer and turn in their summer reading log in September.

Muir Reading Challenge

We are finalizing the details for the Muir Reading Challenge.  Classroom teachers will be handing out additional information soon so your children can participate.  We look forward to continuing all of the excellent progress that our students have made this year.

PBIS Community Meeting

Attached is a flyer announcing a PBIS Family Community Meeting on May 1^st from 6:30-8:00 pm at Enders-Salk School.  The purpose of this meeting is to help families understand PBIS.  No RSVP needed…walk-ins welcome.  A light meal will be provided.

4th Grade Instrumental Music Enrollment

It is enrollment time for next year’s instrumental music program.  Current 4th grade students will be able to sign up to play an instrument.

John Muir Talent Show

The John Muir Talent Show will take place on Wednesday the 18th of April starting at 6:30 pm.  Any students involved in the show should be at the school no later than 6:15 pm.

Muir PTA needs your help

Hoffman Estates High School Family Literacy Night

A family literacy night celebration is being held at Hoffman Estates High School on Thursday, March 22.  The celebration will take place from 6:00 – 7:30 pm and will include a children’s reading time, a raffle, and free food.  It is being held in the Media Center at Hoffman and the school is located at 1100 W. Higgins Road.   The flyer is attached
