IAR (Illinois Assessment of Readiness)

Each spring, students in District 54 take federally mandated assessments (IAR) designed to help school districts understand how our students are growing academically.  This year, the English Language Arts and Math Assessment for grades 3-8 will be given at school over three days between. Our students will test on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday of next week. Students will take 2 tests each day. Remote learners will be provided with alternate lessons during the three testing days. Thank you in advance for your flexibility and support as we complete these assessments.

Arrival and Dismissal

As a reminder, our parking lot is closed to car traffic from 8:20-8:40 and 2:55-3:10 each day. Due to the large number of students who walk to and from school, we need to limit car movement to ensure safety. For street traffic, please make sure you are adhering to all posted signs for drop-off and pick-up. Parking for drop-off is available on the west side of Kensington. The curb in between the parking lot entrance and exit is only used for drop-off. With the large amount of car traffic in a small space it is critical we are following safe driving practices. Thank you in advance for your assistance with a safe arrival and dismissal for students.
