PBIS – Positive Behavioral Interventions & Support

PBIS at Muir
Staff members work together to consistently teach, model and reinforce appropriate behaviors that students are expected to use in all areas of the school, including hallways, buses, classrooms, playgrounds, assemblies and restrooms. PBIS teaches students to be responsible for their own behaviors. Our school-wide expectations include the 3 Be’s: Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Safe.

Tickets, Stamps, and Stamp Cards
Students receive tickets when they are demonstrating the 3 Be’s during lunch or specials. Their tickets can be turned in for a weekly raffle. Students receive stamps when they are demonstrating the 3 Be’s during instructional time. When a student has a full stamp card, they may pick out a prize from the Falcon’s Nest Store.

Golden Tickets
When an entire class is demonstrating the 3 Be’s, the class can earn a golden ticket. When a specific amount of golden tickets are earned, the class will celebrate with a whole class reward.
